About this Episode

Session 3 Recap: When we last left our adventures, It seemed themaid Zia wasn’t what she seemed. At the start of our last session, Team Tasty Cakes had finished asking questions around the castle, but they weren’t able to discover a smoking gun. They decided to head off to Manor Fallahir to see if they would have more luck talking to Zia and Varrin. After a quick journey by horse to the manor, upon arrival, they retired to a sitting room with Head of the Manor, Kalsey. She answered questions for the team, and had no problems with the party speaking to either Zia or Varrin, as Kalsey was one of the few that knew everything about the situation. While Aton and Anima went to talk to Zia who was in the kitchen getting ready to go out on a foraging trip, Silas went to go look at the rooms of both Zia and Varrin, with the permission of Kalsey of course. After a brief conversation with Zia, Aton offered to go on her foraging excursion to “help out” and Anima went to go talk to Varrin. Silas ruffled through both rooms, but the only item that stood out was a coin that was similar in shape to currency, but was actually something that allowed 2 people to be speak to eachother.

Anima’s conversation with Varrin was pretty one sided, she was obviously troubled by something, but just came across as distant, and every response was delivered with distain and distrust. Jumping over to Aton in the forest near the manor, he was picking blackberries with Zia and a group of others. After about an hour of picking, he was taking a load back to the cart, and when he came back…Zia was gone. He used his hunter mark to easily track her to a creek. When he picked up her trail on the other side, he discovered some blood, concerned for the safety of Zia, he continued to follow and found her tied up with 2 trolls looming over her! Aton ran back to the manor to get the other 2 party members, and went back and dispatched the trolls with ease, even though 2 skeletons fell in battle.

After the dust settled on the battle with the trolls, Zia was gone…yet again! They tracked them around a good size natural spring to a café entrance. And there stood Zia, her old wrinkled old lady face twisted by anger. “Those 2 louts didn’t kill you?! Grog N Nog, take care of them!”

Volume is still getting better, but man does this take a long time...
